TPCP Awarded Two New Programs by Far Northern Regional Center
Sacramento, CA – November 22, 2024 – Turning Point Community Programs (TPCP) is proud to announce that it has been awarded two new programs by the Far Northern Regional Center (FNRC): an Adult Day Program and a START program. This partnership underscores TPCP’s ongoing commitment to providing innovative and comprehensive support for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health needs.
The Adult Day Program is designed to enhance the quality of life for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). It will focus on community integration, skill-building, social engagement, and personal development in a supportive and inclusive environment. Participants will have opportunities to explore their community, strengthen communication and social skills, and build confidence and self-advocacy.
The START program (Systemic, Therapeutic, Assessment, Resources, and Treatment) will provide community-based crisis prevention and intervention services for individuals with IDD and co-occurring mental health conditions. This program emphasizes collaboration and customized supports to enhance stability and well-being while reducing the need for emergency interventions.
“We are thrilled to expand our partnership with the Far Northern Regional Center through these two essential programs,” said Alexis Bernard, CDO of TPCP. “These programs align with our mission to promote recovery, resilience, and relationships, and we are excited to bring meaningful resources and support to individuals and families in the region.”
Both programs will play a critical role in meeting the unique needs of individuals and families served by FNRC. TPCP is currently preparing for the launch of these programs and looks forward to providing high-quality services that empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives.
