TACP Announces New Housing Director
Turning Point Community Programs (TPCP), the largest non-profit mental health service provider in Sacramento County, today announced that Alexis Bernard assumed the position of Director of Housing for the agency effective July 1, 2017. Bernard has been with the agency for 17 years and has been the Program Director for the agency’s largest homeless program for the past 10 years. The Director of Housing position is new to the TPCP leadership team and was created in response to the lack of safe, affordable housing options for the individuals served by TPCP, many of whom have extremely low incomes compared to the general public.
As Director of Housing for TPCP, Bernard will assume responsibility for developing housing initiatives that increase access to safe, affordable housing for the mental health consumers served by the agency throughout seven local counties surrounding the Sacramento Region, including Sacramento County. Bernard commented,

Bernard who is preparing for licensure as a Marriage Family Therapist, has a Master of Art degree in Counseling Psychology conferred in 2010 and a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership and Development that will be conferred in January of 2018. Bernard’s 17 years with TPCP have been spent working with housing providers in Sacramento County with the goal of increasing access to permanent supportive housing.
